Mental Health Counselor + Healer

Being human can be very challenging. Many of us have been hurt, experienced loss, and carry deep wounds. It can be difficult to imagine safety, joy, or belonging. In these common experiences we still have capacity for healing, wholeness and connection. As a counselor, I am here for that spiral process.

If you are looking for a healing companion on this journey toward wholeness, you’re in the right place. With eight years of experience working with many marginalized community members (including BIPOC, LGBTQ+ and disabled folks), I have learned to hold space, support growth, and encourage curiosity. As such, I offer a compassionate space in order to help guide a path to understanding and connection.

Different people may have different needs, so I use a variety of tools or points of focus. From teaching specific techniques to applying mythology and archetypes, I help to strengthen relationships and boundaries, navigate stressful life experiences and learn how to sit with discomfort. In this process, I often help folks balance grief and joy, and sometimes integrate with their spirituality.

Context + Community

As a mental health counselor, I work to hold a space that consistently acknowledges how institutionalized racism, homophobia/transphobia, the punitive-carceral system and other systemic issues cause harm and impede our transformation. Further, I recognize that BIPOC, disabled people, and queer/trans folks are most effected by these systems. In healing, we must integrate this knowledge with the work we do, inside and outside of session.

People have been surviving these systems since their inception. Within each of us and our communities reside tools and insights that can help guide our communities toward liberation. Together we can discover the gifts you carry too and the resources to support you.

If you are drawn to this work, reach out for a free consultation to determine whether we are a good fit. Consultations are available via email, videochat or phone. Questions are always welcome. I look forward to exploring and working on healing with you.
